ok so i havent really been playing much cash recently. First weeks target was $100. currently storming ahead running uber good and playing a lot more aggro than usual but it’s paying off. Just cleared up a 90man $5 sng deepstack on Full Tilt Poker for $112.50. standard.

I do realise that this is the upswing atm and that there will be a downwing to follow sure enough. But as long as i stay ahead of my targets i’m on course to complete the challenge.

first day on the sngs

Ok so i started playing $5 sng’s once i hit about $130 today…

came 3rd in first one for $21 and 1st in the second one scooping $54. These sngs are soft to say the least, players don’t seem to understand simple sng strategy as you can easily pushbot with 5bb and get 5 folds in a row from them…

Cleaned up last night on cash also to hit $140 then hit $190 after the sng’s and dropped a buyin and a bit on 10 nl so i’m getting ready to start another session with $179… i seem to be running pretty well also, but i am still ahead of my target even if i drop down to $125 roll or so for the week ahead.

I have recently set myself this 10k challenge, in which i hope to turn a $75 deposit on Full Tilt Poker into $10,000.. so i gathered i should probably blog about it to keep me on track and have somewhere to rant when things aren’t swinging my way.

Reasons for the challenge are that i’ve gone through the experience of being patient and grinding up $10 into $1,000 then gettin’ greedy one day and blowing the lot, i’m sure i’m not the first one, i just wanna try to improve on the bankroll management side of poker and the mentality that comes with it and all that shizz.

I will be playing roughly 3-4 hours per day on FTP. Starting off at 5 NL and progressing onto 10 NL at $100 as i think that 10 max buyins is ok for 10 NL as it’s pretty lucritive, and i can always drop to 5 NL if i go down to below $100. I prob won’t move up to 25 NL until i have 20 max buyins so 2,000 bb ($500), and then 50 nl more like 30-35 buyins ($1500). Gonna intro the mtt’s at about $300 for $5 buyin and always guna be playing with 50+ buyins.
